1. Log in to the portal and go to the location. Then navigate to PRICE AND ACCESS.
2. Here, you can choose DEFAULT VISIBILITY.
3. If no other rules are set, the default visibility will apply:
OPEN – The charging station is available to everyone. The location will be a public charging station in the Current Charge app.
CLOSED – No one can use the charging station (unless other rules apply). The charging station will be a public charging station in Current Charge, but it will be listed as closed.
HIDDEN AND CLOSED – The charging station is closed for charging and not visible in the app either. This status can be relevant if work is being done at the location or if it is not fully operational yet.
HIDDEN AND OPEN – The charging station is available to everyone (unless other rules apply), but it will not be visible in the Current Charge app, only to users with access to the location. This status is common for closed or private garages.
4. After selecting the default visibility, choose the price for end users. The currency follows the country where the charging station is located (e.g., NOK in Norway). All prices can be combined. If a price is to be free, set it to 0 (zero).
Startup cost – This is a fee that is charged as soon as the user connects to the charger. This is used to prevent short charging sessions.
Price/kWh – Users pay for the amount of electricity they charge. This is the most common pricing model used for destination chargers.
Price/min – Users pay for the number of minutes they charge. This is most common at locations with few chargers where you want to ensure charger turnover.
Occupied cost/min – Users pay per minute they are connected after the charging session is completed. This is common if you want users to move their car after charging is finished.
5. With access to spot pricing, you will have more options for setting the price at your location:
Fixed Surcharge – An additional fee that is fixed regardless of the current spot price for the period. This will always be the same regardless of the current spot price.
Percentage Markup/kWh – A percentage markup that will be added to the spot price.
Include Settlement Fee – By enabling this feature, the cost of the settlement fee will be added on top of the spot price.
Standard Price/kWh – If the system is unable to retrieve the spot price from Nordpool, the price set here will be applied. This can be considered a safety net.
6. When spot pricing is set for the location and the price is determined, you will see two lines: one green and one orange.
Green Line – The actual charging price for the location. This is what users will see in their app when they are about to charge.
Orange Line – The actual spot price. This is the spot price based on the data we retrieve from Nordpool. This will not appear in the app.
7. Click SAVE to store the changes you have made. If you do not click SAVE, the changes will be lost.
