Updating to the latest version

Before configuring the charging station, we recommend updating the system to the latest version.

Depending on what version you have the layout will be a bit different.

Layout 1. – older versions

1. Press the tab called Updates

Layout 2. – newer versions

1. Press the tab called Maintenance
2. Further, press Firmware update

Update

1. Check what version the station has
   1. R4 = 3.0.x.x
      Update to R5 (two files) and then to R6 (one file).
   2. R5 = 3.1.x.x
      Update to R6 (one file).
   3. R6 = 3.2.x.x
      No updates necessary.

The correct files for updating can be sent to you by SmartCharge if necessary.

Configuration

Configuration with file from SmartCharge

1. Select tab configuration
2. Press import under general settings     
3. Select the file from SmartCharge «locationname».cfg
4. Press import
5. You will now be prompted to reboot. Press Reboot
6. The box is now configurated.

Manual configuration (without the configuration file)

1. Select tab Configuration

General settings

1. Station type – supervised
2. For charging with RFID and/or App                                                                                            Remote command required to control charge - Yes
3. For charging without RFID and/or App                                                                                        Remote command required to control charge – No

Network

1. For dynamic IP (without SpaceLynk and without external access):                                        Automatically obtain an IP address: On                     
2. For static IP (with SpaceLynk or with external access):
   1. Automatically obtain an IP address: Off
   2. IP address: 192.168.0.xxx (11-200. First station 11, next 12, etc.)
   3. Sub network mask: 255.255.0
   4. Default gateway: 192.168.0.1
   5. Preferred DNS system: 8.8.8 

Supervision

Main configuration

1. OCPP Version: 1.6
2. Supervision URL: ws://smartchargewebbackendp.azurewebsites.net/Ocppj
3. Charging station ID: [Device ID given by SmartCharge] 

Modem configuration

Connection with Schneider GPRS modem: skip this step.

Connection without Schneider GPRS modem:

1. URL of Modem State Page: UNDEFINED
2. URL of Modem Configuration Page: UNDEFINED
3. Modem Connection Retry Interval: 0       

Advanced Configuration

1. Default User ID Tag: FFFFFF
2. Meter Value Sample Interval: 30           

After finishing all the above stages, press Save and reboot.

The box is now fully configurated.
